Faqs

How to keep pool water clean?

Chlorine tablets and algaecides are essential to keep the water free of harmful microorganisms. The filter should be cleaned every 2 weeks, or whenever the pressure gauge indicates a pressure higher than 1.5 bar. The drainage channels installed near the pool should be inspected and cleaned regularly.

What are pool edges and how should they be designed?

The terms “pool edge” and “poolside beach” indicate the structural element that surrounds the pool, which must be at least 30 cm wide (but larger sizes are recommended), covered with waterproof materials and equipped with a drainage system to collect overflow water.

What are the main differences between a traditional and an infinity pool?

A traditional in-ground pool has an edge that remains a few centimeters above the water level. Filtration occurs mainly through special skimmers, which gradually remove impurities from the pool, while the channels collect overflow water. In infinity pools, the water remains at the same level as the edge and is collected by a perimeter channel, to then be directed towards the compensation tank.

How much does it cost to replace the pool's drainage channel?

If the drainage channel surrounding your pool has deteriorated and needs replacement, contact the experts at Malagrida Group. We will provide you with a detailed quote, including the purchase and installation costs of drainage systems for traditional and infinity pools.
